"Love, in a woman's heart, I wanna have the whole, and not a part" - Quote from a the track "Weekend" from Scooter.

God damn it, I worked 60 HOURS on this imge!!! It is for the German contest for the coming year, the contest I already did this [link] image last year for. But it is no relation, I didn't even work the half time on that one like did on this here. As I started on this image I told myself "last year I didn't won, but I didn't do a 100 percent of my skill. Now I do the best image I am able to do" and so you see it right here. Please give me the longest comment you can :b

I still don't assume that I can win with this image. The contest is a manga-contest, and my image is not really traditional manga stuff. It has nothing japanese in it (though foxes are some kind of gods in their culture), it has no general or traditional manga look, and also, anthropomorph art is more american than japanese. Already at the last contest me and all people who knew my image said, it could at least have been shown, at was a good one compared with all others what were visible. I do really hope that this time my image is at least showed somewhere, or hang out, I don't even need to win - I would only like that my image can be seen somewhere there. I was working so hard on this, using all my free time to work on this, it is my wish that people not only in the internet will see this ^^ But anyhow >_>

Here you got a special version of the image: [link]

So, you see the title and somewhat the content of this image is somewhat different to my usual works - it is sad, and talks about love. Well, the topic I had to follow for this contest is "first date". I assume, that most images people made for this contest will be two happy people, enjoying their love. I thought, I want to do something different, not doing the same boring stuff like most others like I think. So my immediate idea was this. I will first tell you the story of the image:
Alone, staying without a warming body and soul on her side, this woman was using the net to maybe find a right man for her. As luck seemed to wish, she found one, a nice man who seemed to be a gentleman, valuing and liking her. After endless evenings of chatting, someday they both decided to catch up. Full of excitement and with a slowly growing feeling, which was coming closer and closer to this feeling called love, she grabbed her laptop, if he might contact her, and went to the place she wanted to meet him.
She sat down on the bank, not being able to remain without moving around all the time, not stopping to look in every direction she could, just not letting it happen to miss him. The minute of his planned arrival is coming closer and closer... She is counting the seconds down, looks with strait eyes to every men going around the corner.
THEN... The time has come when both actually wanted to see each other. She couldn't stand the pressure in her mind - and the seconds go on. The first 10 minutes pass, nobody appeared... "Maybe he's in a traffic jam" ... Another 10 minutes went past... "He must have some kind of problem" ... 10 minutes more are gone... "He'll contact me in a second, I know it!"
She was waiting for 3 long more hours, and nobody appeared... It wasn't possible that he came along there and accidently not getting to see her. There is no possibility that they accidently missed each other, and being sure of those facts, she's sitting there... Full of tears, heart-broken, not knowing what to do now. She trusted him so much, and he didn't appear.
After another hour of sadness in the park, she slowly left, her eyes even still searching at the sides for somebody to come around. But while slowly getting distance to her bench, where she remained 4 hours long, nobody was to see. In the upcoming darkness, almost nobody went to the park anymore.

She never got a sign from him again. Nothing. As just disappeared from this reality, she wasn't able to get another contact to him, no matter what she tried. If he found another girl, or if he lost interest, who knows actually.
Her next date will definately be a hard one for her.

You need to be careful with your feelings. Many people don't deserve trust.

Many people know, there has been a very very long rant about men and the mis-behaviour of so many of them. I may say, NOT all men are bad, surely. But out there are idiots, who treat women like toys, gadgets or whatever in that kind. Men, who think women only exist for their personal pleasure, who don't care about the feelings of a woman. Either all those people don't know what sort of pain it is for a woman, if the heart aches, or they are just so damned self-centered, that they don't care. Second of both, I hate most. Of course men who betray their loving girlfriend/wife are one of the worst kinds too. Simply to say, I hate men who treat women bad, who do not deserve this, may it be hurting physically, or emotionally. And I will never consciously cause such a situation, displayed in this image. Women have way larger hearts than men (emotionally seen), and if that gets hurt, women can die a thouands deaths... Don't be responsible for this, and never cause that.

Love in a Woman's heart by *M-Fox is a breath-taking image. Rarely do we see such painstakingly detailed anthro images in the anime-style of inking and coloring. The long shadows and minor details really spell out this character's heart-break. (Featured by `cooley)

As soon as I saw the thumbnail for this I KNEW this was the piece you were spending a lot of time on. DAMN it shows... this is unbelievable. Those buildings are WOW. Everything.

VERY good job, I wish I was more of a writer to express how I feel.

Incredible. The picture, and the description. I hope you win you manga contest, but, again, it is a manga contest, and you are using an anthro idea. I really like it, but, if I was a judge for the contest, I would say that the grass looked too all the same, but thats jus me, and that if buildnings are drawn, with windows, again, windows are sometin that can be copied.. Also the things on the trash cans look odd. It is a great pik, but, I think in order ta REALLY do anything, is ta do it with traditional mean. Paint, pencils, stuff like that, but, again it might be my opinion. Congratulasions on your work, HARD work! Thats all I can really say!

I don't wanna force you to read that long thing, since I do really know how much you have to do XD Though I guess you and me, we would have another topic for a loooong discussion XD

Anyhow, it's cool that people like the grass =3 Since it is actually nothing more than usual grass pencil of Photoshop, combined with some filters and other methods of mine ^^

I do really appreciate your opinion on this, Phil =3 All you said is right, in my case it is just the way of thinking about it: What does it bring if >>I<< draw such an image traditionally, if it wouldn't be any that good like I can do digitally. One artist is the big genious in traiditional media, but knows nothing to do with computer. Or if that is reversed. I am aware of the things you said here, and all is right. I know it is no traditional Manga-piece, what also makes me think, could be a reason that they won't really deal with it. Also the thing with the buildings is right, I did copy the windows, but what is the difference if you copy another window or draw it on your own, if the actual look is completely the same, by any pixel? It's not like I copied the textures or something, only the outlines of the windows are copied. Well, I think for you the grass looks a bit the same because of for example the piece of grass next to her (viewer's) left foot, eh? ^_^ Yeah, that didn't work out so perfectly, but generally, I got only really good support for the grass.

Anyhow, this replay was not meant to complain on you, Phil =3 Only to show you my view on the things you mentioned ^^ I know this image doesn't fit so perfectly with the contest it is made for, but well.... It's not like it's so important for me to win ^^ If it was ONLY for the contest, I wouldn't have worked so hard for it - but it's also for you all here to see. So the hard work is anything but wasted, doesn't matter if I win or whatever.
